Clydemont provides cleaning, porterage and planned building maintenance for offices, university campuses and NHS sites across Scotland and the North East of England. We employ just over 1,400 people, most of them on long-term contracts at the same site, and we pay at least the real Living Wage. Our teams look after everything from lecture theatres in Glasgow to hospital outpatient blocks in Newcastle, and last year we picked up our first London contract, a group of council-owned office buildings in the City fringe. We were set up in 1993 by two former hospital domestic supervisors. We still run our own induction and supervisor training, and our technicians are supported through apprenticeships and City & Guilds qualifications.
